The collection includes more than 130 masterpieces of the XVIII century collected with passion by Milan entrepreneur Alighiero de' Micheli. Paintings (Canaletto and Tiepolo), splendid French furniture, Lombard ceramics, Chinese porcelain and rare miniatures by Jean Baptiste Isabey - all bequeathed to FAI - help create a setting of immense harmony. The collection, in a set-up designed by architect Filippo Perego that reflects the taste of the original arrangement, is housed in Villa Necchi Campiglio, the extraordinary home designed by architect Piero Portaluppi in 1932 and recently donated to FAI.
