FAI ACTIVITIES
FAI does not merely take over properties and look after their management: it also undertakes a series of activities that help make its work even more incisive.
It organises an intense calendar of events in its sites, helping to bring them back to life as in the past, and supports culture by promoting national and local events.
It is active throughout Italy with an important network of Delegations that, thanks to the passionate work of about 1000 voluntary Delegates, organise numerous Cultural Events with the objective of spreading its ideals, asking for support from private citizens through membership of FAI and collecting contributions to help the activity of the Foundation.
It encourages new Members, the lifeblood of the Foundation, by offering increasingly important advantages, such as numerous conventions with theatres, cinema, historic homes, castles and museums where Members enjoy discounts and special rates.
It also targets younger generations by proposing numerous activities for schools and dedicating, in the events held in its sites, special attention to children.
It organises cultural trips for Members: specially prepared group trips all over the world with expert guides and leaders; short, unaccompanied individual stays in cities of art in Italy and Europe for important cultural events.
