Podere Lovara can be reached ONLY on foot, via a 4100m long mid-mountain path, starting from the center of Levanto, or 4500m from the FFSS station, with an absolute difference in altitude of 250m, a total ascent of 344m, a total descent of 97m and an average gradient of 3.7%. The surface is mixed with a prevalence of rocky and stony sections which require the use of trekking shoes.
It is possible to shorten the route by going up by car to the "La Giada del Mesco" hotel and parking shortly afterwards, at the end of the climb, after turning around in the clearing that you come across there (you can also get to this point with the ATC bus which leaves in front of the Levanto Post Office, with daily trips during the summer, Wednesdays and Saturdays in other seasons). Starting from here, the walking route is 2700m long, has an absolute difference in altitude of 167m, with a total ascent of 161m, a total descent of 95m and an average gradient of 2.4%. By car: from the “Carrodano – Levanto” toll booth of the A12 motorway, continue towards Levanto and, from here, towards the “La Giada del Mesco” hotel. Important: do not enter "Podere Lovara" in the navigator (it would take you through Monterosso), but "Levanto" and from there continue towards "Via del Mesco" or the Hotel "Giada del Mesco".
There are no catering facilities at Podere Case Lovara, but you can use the picnic area, which has panoramic benches where you can take a rest and have something to eat while you savour the stunning view.
You will find a small shop selling water, soft drinks, alcoholic beverages, packaged local products, typical products, and FAI merchandise.
It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes and bring an adequate amount of water, as there is no drinking water refill station at the Podere.
