Educational Activities

Thematic visits have been designed for schools of every kind and level to coincide with the exhibition Robert Wilson for Villa Panza. Tales. The museum’s educational personnel will help visiting classes to explore and understand Wilson’s works with a particular focus on portraiture and video.

All activities must be booked in advance and can also be held in English.

Art & Portraiture

Half-day thematic visit divided into two phases: 1) observation of the works on show; 2) workshop activity

Infant school and primary school level 1

An unusual guide helps the children to explore the fantastic animated worlds of Robert Wilson’s Video Portraits. In the workshop, the children will create their own self-portraits with a special technique inspired by the artist’s works.

Primary school level 2 and secondary school level 1

The Video Portraits on show pave the way for a special focus of the art of portraiture. An art-historical overview of the portrait and Wilson’s works will provide the children with models for the creation of special tableaux vivants.

Secondary school level 2

A visit ensuring full involvement and immersion in Robert Wilson’s art and vision. In the workshop, the Video Portraits provide inspiration for the creation of multisensory tableaux vivants.
